An eco-friendly wind is blowing through ducts! Daehan Flexible produces eco-friendly products using accumulated technology for ‘Antibacterial Flexible Ducts’

Amid rising interest in eco-friendliness and clean air, Daehan Flexible (CEO Yoon Jeong-woong) has developed an eco-friendly duct.

The ‘Antibacterial Flexible Duct’ developed by Daehan Flexible is a product that eradicates 99% of four types of bacteria and five types of mold harmful to the human body, and has been recognized by a national accredited testing and research institute.

Daehan Flexible President Yoon Seong-hwan explains, “We developed this product after contemplating the environments in which ducts are typically installed.”

Due to their nature, general duct products are installed above dark and humid ceilings, causing dust to accumulate and bacterial proliferation to increase over time. President Yoon explained that even if clean air passes through ducts, it results in the addition of harmful bacteria that can cause various allergies and respiratory diseases.

The antibacterial flexible hose, which combines flame-retardant aluminum with added antibacterial properties, boasts superior antibacterial capabilities thanks to its inorganic antimicrobial performance. When bacteria come into contact with the surface, it inhibits their reproduction and simultaneously eradicates them, allowing clean air to be supplied directly into the building interior.

President Yoon stated, "It is most regrettable that many domestic building owners have not yet adopted this product because it is an eco-friendly antibacterial product and therefore more expensive than other products."

Founded in 1982, Daehan Flexible develops and produces over 60 types of flexible products, including eco-friendly HVAC hoses and sheets, antistatic hoses and sheets, system-specific insulation hoses, belt-type clamps, and SUS belt packs.

Recently, the company developed and patented an innovative product called the "Click-type Duct Hose Connection Band (D-BAND)." The company is receiving recognition for the excellence of its products in developed nations, including pursuing long-term supply contracts in overseas markets. "Over the past decade, we have established business plans to expand into the U.S., China, and Japan by obtaining certifications from external agencies and acquiring domestic and international patents," said CEO Yoon. "We are also increasing exports to countries like Iran and Australia through introductions to local business partners."

Daehan Flexible has recently been exporting machinery while also providing consulting services for quality maintenance and production technology. Regarding this, CEO Yoon expressed pride, stating, "When we sell a machine, customers have no choice but to rely on us during the maintenance period. Since attaching sensors to the sold machines and automating them guarantees reorders, we are now known as a company that sells machinery and transfers technology."
