Daehan Flexible Co., Ltd., with a 37-year history of flexible duct manufacturing, is introducing its "Antibacterial Flexible Duct (D-500BT)" at the "15th Korea International Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Exhibition (HARFKO 2019)," held at KINTEX in Ilsan from March 12 to 15. This product eradicates four types of bacteria and five types of mold that are harmful to the human body.

The antibacterial flexible hose, which combines antibacterial functionality with aluminum featuring excellent flame-retardant properties that prevent the spread of fire, offers superior long-lasting antibacterial power through its inorganic antibacterial performance. It inhibits the reproduction of bacteria upon contact with the surface and simultaneously eradicates them, ensuring that clean air is supplied directly to various buildings utilizing ducts, such as offices, hospitals, and office buildings.

This product has been patented as "Antibacterial Flexible Hose Fabric and Method of Manufacturing the Same" (Patent No. 10-1342457) and is currently pending patent applications in the United States, Europe, and Japan. Currently, the products are being supplied to hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, manufacturing plants, electronics companies, and Tier 1 construction firms that are particularly sensitive to bacteria. They have been certified by the National Accredited Testing & Research Institute for 99% antibacterial efficacy against four types of bacteria and five types of mold.

Since its incorporation in 1982, Daehan Flexible has maintained a portfolio of 54 types of flexible duct hoses tailored to specific functions and site specifications, including tarpaulin flexible duct hoses, aluminum flexible duct hoses, fiber flexible duct hoses, high-temperature flexible duct hoses, anti-static flexible duct hoses, and double-pipe duct hoses for residential ventilation.
